Corporate wellness is no longer a luxury, it is a strategic investment in productivity, employee morale, and organisational culture. In today’s fast-paced business environment, companies increasingly seek meaningful ways to strengthen teamwork, foster healthy lifestyles, and create positive shared experiences among staff.
WeRUN Corporates is designed exactly for this purpose. As a premier corporate relay race hosted in
Villimalé, the event brings together professional teams from across the Maldives in an energetic, competitive, and inspiring environment. Each organisation fields a team of five runners, creating a platform where teamwork, fitness, and corporate pride come together in a dynamic, fun, and memorable way. This proposal outlines the event details, concept, and the unique value it brings to participating organisations and their employees.
WeRUN – Corporates is a 5 runner, 1 KM per‐runner relay challenge crafted specifically for companies, institutions, and organizations operating in the Maldives. The event features two categories Male and Female—and combines competition, wellness, and corporate identity in a highly engaging format. Each participating organisation must nominate five full‐time employees as runners, with an optional substitute. Verification through official MRPS employment records ensures authenticity and fairness in competition. The relay format encourages collective effort and synchronized teamwork. With baton exchanges, uniform coordination, and timing strategy, teams are able to translate their workplace culture into performance on the racing course.
The event includes two categories, each accommodating up to 20 teams:
Female Category: 16:30 – 17:10 hrs
Male Category: 17:15 – 17:55 hrs
Each runner completes 1 KM, for a combined relay distance of 5 KM per team. Timing is electronically recorded per runner, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
All registered runners must be full‐time employees of the organisation they represent. Organizations are required to submit:
• MRPS employment verification
• NIC copy of each runner
• In case of a transferred runner, NIC copy and current employment status
Each team may include:
• 5 registered runners (only one elite level participant in the team)
• 1 substitute runner or
• 1 transferred runner (this could be an elite level runner from another organization and can be the elite member of the 5 member team. If this is the elite member, all other members should be registered non elite members)
